Our firm Principal, David Fryer is a true local, he grew up in the Salisbury area where he still lives and was educated at Salisbury High School. He commenced his legal career in general law but quickly focused his practice in the areas of Family & Criminal Law.
After some years, he was made Special Counsel at one of Adelaide’s busiest family and criminal firms where he appeared as Counsel daily, including at trial and complex arguments. David is a passionate advocate who is admitted to, and appears regularly, in multiple jurisdictions at both State & Commonwealth level.
David has been published and received international recognition for his independent research which examined the effect of false abuse allegations in family law proceedings. His dissertation: ‘False allegations in family law proceedings: Using the family Court as sword, not a shield’ is often cited in the legal and psychological professions.
David has served on the Law Society of South Australia Committee for Children & the Law, the Criminal Law Committee and he’s sat on an expert panel alongside a Judge and Magistrate presenting to other lawyers, psychologists and social workers on the intersection of family & domestic violence between state and commonwealth laws.
David has a no-nonsense approach to the provision of legal advice and he’ll fight hard to get you your best outcome.
